THE CONFERENCE,

HAVING ADOPTED amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 (SOLAS Convention) (hereinafter referred to as "the Convention") concerning radiocommunications for the global maritime distress and safety system (GMDSS), including revised forms of the Passenger Ship Safety Certificate, Cargo Ship Safety Equipment Certificate and Cargo Ship Safety Radio Certificate,

NOTING regulation I/12(a)(v) of the Convention, as amended, which prescribes that the said safety certificates shall be supplemented by Records of Equipment adopted by this Conference,

HAVING CONSIDERED the proposed forms of the Records of Equipment prepared by the Maritime Safety Committee at its fifty-fifth session,

1. ADOPTS the forms of the Records of Equipment to supplement the SOLAS Passenger Ship Safety Certificate, Cargo Ship Safety Equipment Certificate and Cargo Ship Safety Radio Certificate, set out in the annex to this resolution;

2. DECIDES that the Records of Equipment annexed to this resolution shall be subject to amendment in accordance with the procedures prescribed in article VIII of the Convention, applicable to amendments to the annex of the Convention other than chapter I.
