INFORMATION ON SHORE-BASED FACILITIES IN THE GLOBAL MARITIME DISTRESS AND SAFETY SYSTEM (GMDSS)

1. The Maritime Safety Committee, at its fifty-eighth session (21 to 25 May 1990), approved circulation of a revised questionnaire on information on shore-based facilities in the GMDSS, annexed.

2. Member Governments, including those which have submitted answers to the previous circular, are urged to provide information on their intentions to provide shore-based facilities for the GMDSS in accordance with the new questionnaire.
